The Miyakawa Family's Hunger Anime Cast Announced

Why is it that I am one of the last people on earth to know about a manga or an anime from some of my favorite mangaka or studios? Oh well, at least this one came to me before it actually started being aired.

As it is, this new anime series, Miyakawa-ke no Kūfuku (The Miyakawa Family's Hunger) has a web page, and it was finally announced there who was going to be voicing which characters. Why is this important? you may be asking... because this anime is adapted from the manga by Kagami Yoshimizu, the creator of Lucky Star!

In addition to a lot of fresh talent, there are four Lucky Star VAs that have been cast in the show, which makes me sort of fan-gush.
Kotoe Kawasaki as Hikage Miyakawa
Marina Shimagata as Hinata Miyakawa
Madoka Sowa as Yukina Utsumi
Kanae Iwasaki as Erika Koike
Karin Oda as Daisuke Mizushima
Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Kazuhiko Osawa
Natsume Yamada as Marina Koike
Tomokazu Seki as Meito Anizawa (Anime Tenchō)
Fumihiko Tachiki, Kujira as Hikage Miyakawa's classmates and other roles
Aya Hirano as Konata Izumi
Emiri Katō as Kagami Hiiragi
Kaori Fukuhara as Tsukasa Hiiragi
Hiromi Konno as Akira Kogami

So what exactly is this show?

It's a spin-off series from the Lucky Star manga, or better yet, based on the Lucky Star Moe Drill game series. It centers around big sister Hinata Miyakawa and little sister Hikage Miyakawa's impoverished daily life at home (due to Hinata's wasteful habits) and Hikage's life at elementary school.

"The anime will begin streaming on the Ustream service on April 29 at 9:00 p.m. in Japan. A Miyakawa-ke no Chara Come Radio show will also premiere on Ustream on April 15 at 9:00 p.m. The anime's website previews the designs and posted a new color four-panel manga marking the release of the anime."~ ANN
